When you’ve missed all your draws

I went 0/16 on primary draws...worst draw season ever for me. Expected to draw atleast 1 or 2 of them. Several were not hard to draw tags 30+% but law of averages didnt pan out i guess. Luckily i live in Wyoming and have a solid backup plan, hopefully find few more deer hunts to plug november and december holes, like to add a phesant hunt also.

There’s no way I could have waited til 2:19 to check my results.
This isnt the look at all my tag page this is the "why do the tag gods hate me" page...lol. nice tags you will have a great season!
Work was crazy and I finally got away to check in the bathroom lol
I realize that now... and almost feel bad... But i truly do feel your pain and this is the best results I have ever had.
P.S. I do feel that I cheated this year being a group leader and having a woman and a disabled vet in the group going for 80% of the same tags

Let me think about it.. I went 4 for 13 this year. Not too shabby I guess, even if 3 of the 4 were 100% odds.

Right? I’ve managed to not be drawn for a single species in a single zone in 7 years. So it was always OTC hunts for me.

Double down on hunting local! I'm waiting on Montana antelope and if that doesn't work, then I am in the same boat.
Plan to hunt waterfowl more often and its been awhile since that was my focus, so should be fun. Might even make a pheasant trip to the Dakotas.

I think this scenario gets more and more common. I hope the moron residents that show up every once in a while in Wyoming screaming about LQ for all deer and elk tags take a look at the draw odds.
Drawn a lot of tags over the years so I'm not complaining, but the numbers don't lie.

Same here. I’ve had max elk points in Nebraska since the points started, never drawn. Missed a deer draw in Nebraska with resident odds like 95%. Last year missed a 100% antelope unit in Wyoming. 0/12 this year. After Nebraska draws I’ll be 0/16.
Hopefully all the years of OTC will make me a better hunter, or cause me to throw in the towel. Either way seems ok right now.

Just updated my spreadsheet and looks like our family went 14/99 this year. Nothing I would consider primo tags but it'll be a busy Fall. Oldest son drew antelope tags in OR, UT, and WY.

The first year I applied in a new unit archery tag, 25 tags 27 applicants. I didn’t draw 
sometimes you just gotta take it with a grain of salt....
