"I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight tonight
I'm on my way
Just set me free
Home sweet home"
Times are crazy right now. I'm surrounded by crates, boxes and packing material. The only thing left unpacked in the house is the computer and that will change come tomorrow. The movers will be loading my household goods up bright and early in the a.m. and they will be Oklahoma bound.
I on the other hand will be departing this abyss they call the "Redneck Riviera" sometime late Wednesday night or very early Thursday and headed to Orlando to hop aboard an Alaskan Airliner. Flight leaves on Friday for Anchorage. I'll overnight there and then catch another flight out later the next day to a much less populated place on the coast of Prince William Sound.
Soon thereafter I'll be pitching a tent and calling it home for five days. I'll probably wet a line for trout and most definitely will be keeping my eyes peeled for a bear or two...of the blackie/brownie type. 10 day forecast is calling for 45 degree temps and rain, rain, rain.
I'll return to Anchorage a few days later where I'll meet up with the wife and kids. We'll be doing a bit of catching up with friends and of course some fishing and touring of the state. I'll unfortunately, migrate back south on the 28th.
Chances are I probably won't have much time between now and Wed on the computer. I'll try and catch up with some of the HT'ers in Alaska after the bear hunt. I'll likely make the rounds up to North Pole during the latter part of the trip. Hope I get to meet some of you guys.
With any luck this Donkey Puncher can pick back up where AZ402 left off.
