whats a good mile run time?

Your not a wuss. I think a guy is in better shape if he runs 10 minute miles for 20 miles over a guy that runs 6:30 pace for 3 miles.

Your probably getting in shape for hunting....right? do you want to run real fast from your truck to the nearest glassing point or do you want to be able to walk anywhere you want and hunt all day hitting all the glassing points without killing yourself?

Its endurance.. your fine.

Haven't been running according to my running daughter. Here is here comment she sent regarding her run on the Boise Front (for those of you from the Boise area).

Yesterday’s run had 4,000 feet of elevation gain. No wonder I can hardly walk today.

That is why I just do stairs at the office. Six floors, two flights per floor, every other floor, two steps at a time, down hill, snail pace. Twice a day, 10:00 and 3:00 break. Dropped 18 pounds in six weeks. Down to 148. Doc said not to lose any more, so......

Just getting in shape for hunting. I was just wondering what other people out there were doing for workouts such as running. the running is still going good going to start doing 10+ mile runs at a steady pace, want to test out how it works.

I'm 51 and run right at a 8 min pace. I run just 20 miles a week in 4 mile runs and throw in 2 or 3 ten mile mountain bike rides.

My goals are to be fit for the hunt, not racing!
