What type of ducks and geese does your state have?

here In az we have lots of

Pintails
mallards
teal blues and greens
widgeon
buffle heads
canvas backs
canadians

have these but rare
wood ducks (my favorite)
snowgeese

I know there are more but this is was I can think of now

we hunt woodies, gr & bl wng teal,ringnecks widgeon, fla. mallards and pintails occasionally im sure theres more but i have killed at least one of each of these, thats how i know!

Snows and blues, Specks, Canadas (cacklers, common, greaters, and some maximas - mostly resident stockings)

I'm trying to get a pair of ducks every specie's that we have in az for mounts I figure in 2-4 year I might have that,if im lucky. I know there are more out here in az than I listed.

Tundra Swans
Snow Geese
Bluebills
Bufflehead
Ringnecks
Redheads
Canvasbacks
Gadwalls
Goldeneyes
and Sea Ducks (Oldsquaw, Scoters)

Just depends on the weather.

 

[Greenbutt]

We pretty much have them all but blacks. I saw a nice flock of greenwings on a little pond along 152nd St. yesterday. There were about a 1/2 doz. mature drakes and they were beautiful. I've seen pintails and ringnecks lately, the first ringnecks I've seen in years. The second duck I ever shot was a ringneck so I am fond of them.
