What is it?

I was on a late season muzz hunt over the weekend and spied this PVC tube wired to a tree. The circle has a small LED light within it and the arrow points to holes in the end of the PVC tube. Maybe someone on this site can help identify what the hell it is? Sound/call generation or scent? Game camera facing it. Cellular type of cam which is illegal in NM on public land.

Some type of attractant for a bobcat set/trap would be my guess

Second on @TheTone guess. LED light is the visual attractant. Possibly a scent attractant included in the end of the PVC with the holes. Cell camera on the set to know when it's time to go "check" the line.
