Well some good friends of ours spent the night friday then they headed to Minnesota to live so it was kinda a sad day.Today not going to do much and tomorrow will be about the same due to the rain we have been getting.
A herd of very pregnant cows and some yearlings came running up to a fence and stopped dead in their tracks. A young bull came running straight through the herd and cleared the fence and took off. He stopped and looked back and the cows weren't following. About the time he stopped, cows turned back and started running back to the northwest, from whence they came. The young bull turned around and gave chase. He caught up with them just in time for the lead cow to turn around and run back toward the fence. When they got about half way to the fence, they all stopped, turned 180 degrees and ran back to the northwest. Then they stopped again and turned and ran back toward the fence. About half way to the fence they just stopped and milled around for a while. Eventually, they ran back northwest and cleared another fence and headed into the timber. All this time, a cow with a yearling stood on a hill and watched this show. It was hilarious..
Cemetery duty...cleaning up the family plot, and offering fresh floral arrangments to the wind gods. The way the wind blows around here they will probably be in the next county by tomorrow...and the counties out here are as big as some states back east. So Paws (and others), if a big arrangment of red, white, and blue roses with a banner saying, "Miss ya Dad" goes sailing across your property, you'll know where it came from.
It's been too darned windy to go for a motorcycle ride for the past few days. I have to choose my days carefully, because I catch a lot of drag as is at 60 mph.
