Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

Well happy friggin election Oregon... :(

BC is spot on here, I believe it only passed in like 5 of Oregon’s 36 counties but that’s all it takes. And the sheriff of one of the counties it passed in asked voters NOT to endorse as he can’t enforce it with no budget. Current law for background checks etc. in Oregon costs approx $11 mil a year to enforce. Est first year cost of this new proposition is $55.3 million.Like getting a punch to the gut AND a knee to the … never mind 😖
it’s the same playbook over and over and over.

Also, boo-hoo. Try living in NJ. 🤣🤣🤣

J/k by the way. I feel your pain. But my district did flip a house seat!

But what better way to sell more firearms than to create a panic?

The sky is surely falling.

In all seriousness this is going to suck. But none of government has been in the office since the election results came in. I'm going to wait to hear from OSP before I speculate on the process.

I'm also going to immediately write my state reps about securing funding for this though.

Went to the Hillsboro Sportmans a few days ago. I overheard a worker say that they are the #1 store in the US for gun sales now. I could have heard that wrong, but they were slammed. I can't imagine this not being found unconstitutional, but look at CA, NY, WA, etc. This state used to be so great...

100%
But at any moment one of our highly educated and enlightened members will explain to me how I’m a slack jawed fool for feeling this concern.
I was being sarcastic.
You really only have to block one guy to make it go away.

Cocaine, meth, and lots of other drugs are illegal, at least in most states, but people still manage to get their hands on them. Soon it will be time to get your high capacity magazines the same way. Illegally

Hell maybe eventually your state will start setting up safe distribution centers where you can get your high capacity magazine for free!!! It will be safe to ensure no one has tampered with it and best of all the taxpayers can fund it!

Did I mention I’m glad I moved to Montana from Oregon this year !!!!

But I’m also sad at this news as well.
One good thing is, "the folks moving in will vote the politics they left" does not, at least in the short term seem to be proving true. FL, more red than ever, TX, likewise, and MT, well, elected Zinke. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but he's not someone who is going to vote with socialists for things like the Oregon "police decide who gets a gun" bill. More like Communist refugees reaching the US. Never want to hear about Socialism again.

no surprise
If you don't have a cc permit I doubt you'll get thru the background check backlog before it takes affect.

MN is the same in terms of how the state votes. It's a red state, with the twin cities and Duluth voting blue and ruining it for the rest of us. It's always the high population density areas that ruin the state...
