A friend of mine has caught a couple of these this weekend. Its been a while since I've heard what this is. Does anyone know what its called? If my memory serves me it doesn't affect the quality of the meat but very unsightly for sure.
Could be furunculosis (Aeromonas salmonicida) but I really can't tell from this picture. If so, the fish could be septicemic and I wouldn't want to eat it. I could be wrong since it's been a very long time since the fisheries biology and diseases course.
