Hi guys:

I have been working with my Tec guy updating my web site. I need your feed back on the look of my new site. I have added a cleaner more professional look and an expanded product page offering complete camp rentals and kitchen rentals along with my line of Rafts and Canoes. We also linked a movie that one of my clients took last summer and I need to know what you think about it. Does it pull up quickly and is it easy to use?

I am a real novice when it comes to web sites and your feed back on the forum will be greatly appreciated and to show my appreciation I will offer $100 off any week+ inflatable rental and $75 off of any week+ camp rental to any of you who will take the time to give me some positive public feed back! Please don’t make any nasty digs that will not help me develop a better site.

I look forward to reading your responses and working with any of you who want to come north to the best hunting and fishing adventures in Alaska!

looks like it's been updated a bit, goodjob. I have some Comments for ya.

1. The movie, WAY too big. it's 130 megs !!! you cna compress that to a fraction of the size. Most people aren't going to take the time to wait. I actually right clicked the link to download it on a fast connection and it is eaily 15 mins long to download. I haven't watched it so I'm not sure about the content yet.

2. Info. If I was to go up there to go fishing I would want to know season dates, peak times even if it's "Late june to early July" type information. More info on that would be good. Maybe the types of fish., Etc.

3. I would have a "hunting" section. that way people know you cator to hunters. if i was jsut to "happen" upon that site as a hunter i would have no clue there is stuff to hunt besides the one "bou picture you posted.

that is the type of trip I would liek to take. Cast and Blast sounds fun. It's been good getting info from you and I'll be calling you in the future as well. remember my discount ;)

Looks pretty good. Some sites cram so much stuff on you get lost. You might want to add "PRICES" to the gear tab. Took me awhile to find those. If you have anytestimonials that would be nice to add. I booked my africa trip with a guy who has a write-up on everysingle trip for the last four years. Great reading and nice to see the good and the bad.
Added it to my hunting folder in my favorites!!

I agree, providing gear pictures would help & save time. I also agree with Moosie, a page dedicated to hunting with greater detail on what you can provide. I know if i was looking for a "drop camp", i would like to know if i can rent everything i need other than personal gear. Not sure if you offer food & water but it might be a service some of us hunters might be interested in. I hate packing every little thing, paying extra airfare & then they loose the stuff. Just a thought!

Wow! Thanks for the feed back guys! The movie thing is killing me. It’s a great 18 min video but your right that is too large and we will work on it. I think that I will break the site down to interest pages, Fishing, Hunting and Floating.

I am working on making the price page stand out as it looks too plain right now. I think I will set up a complete camp and show a photo of the total package. Your right about lugging everything up here, the price out strips the value quickly.

Keep the feed back coming guys and I will have the best site out there and you will be the reason!

I am making a data table of all of the guys who give me feed back so I can give you discount if you come up.

Thanks

Web site formatting

Hi Walt,

Just a couple of items from me.

Like Moosie, give me more hunt details along with prices. If sites are not showing me prices, I'm out of there.

Just for uniformity, your graphic along the top of the site is shorter than the the text on my system. If you could stretch it out, it will look a little more appealing.

Last but not least, you have a spelling error on the link to the clip.
You have "Link to there website." should be, "Link to their website."

I'm not trying to be picky, just trying to help improve.

Thanks,
3 Finger

Hey Northwestalaska that pic in your misc picture's on the Noatak River that has large Bou in the front
of the boat with the rifle leaning on the rack, is that Hugo Mt in the back ground???
If so, see that little white thing over the top of the horns. That is my Dads buddies cabin we hunted out of there in 03

Here is a pic of My dads buddy, my bro and me. At that cabin, my bro had just shot 2 nice bous off the porch of the cabin in your pic

Hugo Mt is off to the right of the pic

Mule Crazy

Hi Mule Crazy:

No the mountain is Mamalik which is about another 12 miles up river from your photo. The cabin you are at is just below Eckhart Mountain which is next to Hugos. 4 years ago I had a tent camp behind Hugos Mt and I know the cabin and the area will. Is your dad on the left of the photo and does he still work at the airport for TSA? I think he patted me down the last time I went through security! Too funny. I believe that cabin in your photo is Riches cabin and is next to Calvin Schaffer’s place and up river from the Fox Farm. Man it’s a great place and the area is out of this world!

The cabin in my photo is on an island near Paul Hansens place.
