Utah will auction scenic land parcels Wednesday
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Several parcels of Utah state trust lands will soon be auctioned off, including three lots said to have spectacular views of Bryce Canyon National Park.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1LUpEw4 ) that nearly 2,400 acres in six different offerings will be available Wednesday, including the three 80 acre Garfield County locations near Bryce.
The School of Institutional Trust Lands Administration is looking for minimum bids of $76,000 on each of the three scenic lots.
They are perched 6,500 feet above sea level and could be turned into secluded getaways surrounded by dense pinyon-juniper. An offering statement says the area is also great for hunting and hiking.
Also for sale is a 40 acre parcel north of the park entrance.
SITLA will maintain mineral rights on all land sold.
