Ya we are putting on collars on the hens. I don't even like to mess with males but the "new" guys like to catch any bird so they are putting on bands on males. I think it is a waste of time and you run a risk of loosing hens that way.
Sounds like the same project to me. But I am not sure. My only job in the project is to catch birds. Come to think of it I have been in the department for 9 years. Besides check stations the only thing I do is catch birds. First it was pheasants, then sharptails, the sage hens.
