Walleye weekend

We don’t have good walleye fishing in my part of Montana without traveling a couple hours to do it. I haven’t went legit walleye fishing in almost a decade. We finally decided to take a trip this weekend to my sister and brother in laws cabin up on lake sacajawea and do some walleye fishing in the morning and let the kids do some tubing in the afternoon. Fishing was great with being limited out in less than 2 hours with 18”-23” fish. Man I forgot how good walleye are. Almost played bumper boats out there. As soon as you start catching fish the boats start rolling in. Actually had some guys in a boat tell us they seen us stick 4 in the live well before they came over. At one point there was 23 boats in a 500 yard area

Got so bad one day we picked up and left and caught just as many a mile away. Not sure why they do that.

That’s what the brother in law said. He said this weekend was a little slower. Didn’t seem slow to me

Great pics! Couple hour drive in MT is nothing…especially if you can stay out of the bumper boat game. Looks like you had fun though.

I thought the mouth of the Columbia was the only place boats stacked up like that. That battered walleye shure looked good.
