VX3HD vs VX5HD

I have to adhere to budget, so when I purchased a new scope earlier this year I went with the VX3HD instead of the VX5HD. I have not looked through the VX5, but I am so impressed with the VX3 I have trouble imagining a noticeable difference, visually.

I’ve been a Nikon optics fan for almost 30 years but have recently switched to Leupold as my go to optics. Purchased a VX5 HD with the Fire Dot reticle from Schmalts. Love it and it’s great optic. I’ll be purchasing more going forward. Having said that, how can you really go wrong with either?

Subscribed as I am building a 7mm rem mag as well, with very similar duties to perform.

Have my eye on the VX-5HD 3-15x44 w Impact-29 MOA reticle

the vx-5 is obviously a better scope. something else to consider is eye relief. the eye relief on the vx-5 wouldnt work for my dad (old eyes i guess) but the vx-3 works great. either way, i personally dont think u can beat a leupold for the price
