I thought this was a cool story, and Jan Anderson, the editor at the Boulder Monitor, has made it publicly available.

After 75 years away, a veteran named Bill Gruber's remains are coming back to the Boulder Valley.

His obituary, written by his nephew, is something else as well.

If you've ever driven down the Boulder Valley, you've seen the church where he will be buried.

Scanned that story recently but didn't pay close enough attention. Thanks for posting Nameless.

Very neat story. I was fortunate to meet some of the Soldiers who do the remain recoveries at my Senior Leaders Course in FT Lee, VA. They have a very thankless job that is not for the weak of heart. However, they are very proud of what they do and I am very glad they volunteered to do it. I am grateful knowing if it were me, what lengths they go to in never leaving a fallen Comrade behind. RIP Bill
