It is a 1914 Danzig 98 in 8mm that was sporterized a long, long time ago. My dad got it from a cousin just before moving to Idaho in the 1960s. He shot his first two elk with it. I inherited it and decided I was going to use it to fill one of my doe tags last year.

Man, I hardly kill anything big game wise the last few years, it's mostly failed/half-assed leisure trips, or focusing on the kids, and I deliberately don't take GnG's hardly at all. This last year I just tagged along with others and chased ducks and chukar, little bit of perch and a few sockeye.
