Varmint Dog

My 8 year old daughter Kelly made a new friend this weekend. He's a 4 month old Mountain Cur that comes from some great squirrel and coon hunting dogs. Anyone else out there hunting with curs?

Yes he's our dog. We drove to Ohio and picked him up on Saturday. We got him from Dave Luyster who does a lot of coon and squirrel hunting with his dogs. Dave has a website incase you are curious about the Mountain Cur breed of dogs.

Great pic Doug Your daughter has a friend for life. I have use cur dogs for hunting coyotes, but not squirrels, I have heard they are excellent dogs for that.

Doug, you are ruined for life now Bud. You might as well start building a big kennel and get ready, because there is no such thing as just one coon dog.
