We have a had lots of cold and snow the past two months in KS. I'm curious what kind of damage this will do to Carryover into Spring nesting season. Anywhere I hunted since the first big snow in January I drove to get out of the snow. Curious if anyone is seeing quail running around where the snow got deep and cold would not stop. Kind of worried about next year in KS.

Birds both pheasant and quail are hardy creatures if they can get to food and have plenty of good cover, they will be fine in the cold and snow. I saw a covey of quail last night they were flying back to cover from feed. I'm from Kansas also in my experience I worry more about the untimely floods and or drought I think those hurt the population more. But like you I worry about the birds; I sure do like hunting them.
