Nice!
I've always wanted to try a McMillan stock. But they are priced out of my range.
Right now I'm looking for a long action donor to build a 280AI.
And frugality ( spelled cheap a$$), has me looking at Savage Axis II actions, with either a Douglas or E.R. Shaw barrel and Boyd's stock.

Probably the best upgrade I made to my 700 was my edge classic. I’m gonna spend money on something. Might as well be my deer rifle. I didn't get into hunting for the economic efficiency of it. Its a hobby for me. I bought my 700 XCR2 in 270 , a Timney trigger and the Edge stock 7 years ago. I will use it ( if I live) for at least another 10.
For myself being satisfied with my stock is important. Its whats in my hand on these long seasons and days in the stand. I want to be happy with it.
