Unit 23 AZ

Just found out my Nephew drew his first tag here in AZ. He got the General tag in Unit 23! Super pumped for the kid! He's been dieing to go hunting ever since I moved here 3 years ago. Can't wait to get out there and find some bulls!!

Haven't hunted it before, just a little playing. Will be spending the summer getting the lay of the land and fall finding a big boy.

A lot of people like to "play" in that area,especially just north of thr lake. Lots of ATVs,etc.

[Howdy]

Practice shooting at ranges around 400 yards.
Lots of big canyons
Thick steep country.
My wife and son had the tag about 10 yrs ago. I had them practice at 400
and they shot their bulls side by side at 400.
Someone on another forum told me about the long range shooting in that country
Then it takes an hour to cross the canyon and up the other side to get to the downed bulls.
Couple giant burns in the unit...
