"Hunting" has become a big target shoot to many people now. If they had to get close, the animal would not be killed. The hunting ability is disappearing in lieu of long-range killing.
So true. On Saturday I was helping my wife try to fill her antelope tag... used a ridge to stalk a buck to get within 200 yards. Right before we got to where we thought he would be we heard shooting... some tool was shooting at the buck from at least 800 yards. Needless to say, he missed bad, and screwed up the stalk.
She never filled her tag. We had plenty of failed stalks. She refused to shoot at anything over 200 yards. Rather go home empty handed than have a wounded animal running around. Proud of her in that regard.
