Trail Camera Card Pull

Guys and gals, I just pulled a card on a camera that's been sitting for over a year. Wanted to get your opinion on what I'm seeing. The camera is on a wallow just below treeline.

The straight forward part: from mid October to early June there were no pictures, presumably because of the harsh winter at high elevation.

The head scratcher: starting in early June there are pics of cows with little calves. Did they calve nearby? The cows hung out for most of June then simultaneously as they disappeared bulls showed up and hung out until early October. There must be cows around? There are pics of bulls all September long. Thanks for your thoughts!
