yup you have a point, but new brass is new and i personally like working with fresh brass setting up a new rifle. Was in a gun shop Saturday here and took note of what little range brass was available (fired in what and how many times who knows) and no '06, 270, just 308 at $50 a hundred, 556 military at $20 a hundred (Midway has some for $0.34 but unavailable) and 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 acp around $15 a hundred. Midway just put once fired and cleaned 7-08 brass for $0.57 a piece and sold it out in a day. Grade 2 (usually from full auto weapons and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d) military brass in 308 is $0.48 and not even available. Way more aggravation heading to the post office and waiting in line for 30 minutes to send something, my time is worth more than the price of the brass LOL!I can buy that 1x for 15 cents each. The bins are full of it and 270 which is 20 cents. If you put a WTB ad out there thousands of shooters have it collecting dust on their benches.
Since yours is new, I would go 40-50 cents plus shipping. The small mom and pop stores near me never ran out of either of those two calibers.
It’s your sale man, do what you want. Pretty sure getting it for the cost of just shipping is probably the route he’s gonna go. An arm, leg, or first born…What’s the going rate now for an 8 lb jug of H1000?
Powder Valley had it in stock last week for $285 plus shipping and hazmat. What’s the going rate now for an 8 lb jug of H1000?
$279 before shipping this morning on Midway. Retumbo 8lb as well. Didn't last long. What’s the going rate now for an 8 lb jug of H1000?
Nice. FYI - it did not show up for me when I selected smokeless powders and filtered by availability. It does, however, show as available when I directly searched for "H4350" at 0850 PSTH4350 on Midway at 9:15am MST along with some others.
