Time for new shoes

Finally time to put some new treads on the truck. Had to do it a little sooner than expected because I put the base of a missing highway sign through the sidewall.
I would have needed new tires before this hunting season anyway.
The Coopers had 52k on them but I think they would have gone a few thousand more.



They got pretty chewed up when we were sheep hunting. We covered hundreds of miles very rocky terrain.



New tires are Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 275/70/18. I had good luck with the last set of Coopers so I figured I would go with them again. And they're made in the good old USA.

I had really good luck with those AT3 XLT’s on my last pickup. I will say though that the first set I got an easy 55k miles on them. Next two were pretty bare by 45k with no change in driving pattern or rotation schedule.

I’m actually surprised you could find a set, I tried getting some for the wife’s SUV in the fall and they were non existent. Ended up going with the Cooper Road and Trail and they were awesome through the winter.

Shoot I took this thread title literally. I do have the same problem of a blown sidewall. 3rd pair of the Oboz Bridger. Mileage and usage is about the same. But these ones didn’t make it 8 months. I’d like to make it until July but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

I do have a set of coopers on my truck. They are worth more than the truck, but they are really good.

I liked the coopers on my V8 1/2 ton. They didn’t last worth a chit on my F250 6.4 diesel.
