Also the look of horror on the face of the dude at true value as I asked "I'm buying my first drill what do you recommend" while having my daughter strapped to my chest and a cart full of 100ft of Romex, 12 gang boxes, a shit load of conduit, 25 gallons of paint, concrete, etc and all the accouterments was worth all the toil and banged up fingers.. :devilish:

Nice work, looks like a helluva project that turned out well. Glad you're back.

Starting a similar project in our basement, thought I sensed some similar side-eye from the guy at Menards when I rolled up with my Jon boat utility trailer to pick up 16' LVL beams this afternoon...

You gotta almost feel bad for the Menards guy. No creativity and definitely not married!

Wife:

Seeing there is a snowstorm can you fix the pantry, that corner is always cold.

Me: ugh

Turns out there was no insulation in the outside corner of the wall. It had been condensing and the plaster was just crumbling apart. Got a lot of skim coats to do to fill in the size difference.

Our Alaska house was built in the 1980s.
New septic tank,
new boiler,
new roof,
new wood stove downstairs.

We put it on the market to sell.
Inspection revealed new leach field required,
new wood stove and pipe upstairs required,
new boiler exhaust pipe required, etc.
