Without the roar of an ATV, nor the stink of a Welfare Rancher's cow, I was able to enjoy a weekend off the "beaten" path.
This lake is at 7400 feet, and we still found drifts of snow greater than 5 feet deep, on the 12th of July
Here is the lake --->
The lake had nobody else there.... Just My Own Private Idaho....
Here is a slightly different angle of the Lake... ----->
I did try a bit of fishing...
Here is a "typical" catch out of Idaho's high mountain lakes.
Probably 3 out of 5 casts..
resulted in similar.
It is big country..far in the distance, you can see an old burn, but the place is alive and well, and it didn't even have to be "Salvage Logged" to stay healthy..--->
And finally, when in My Own Private Idaho, sometimes I stop to smell the flowers... --->
Tell me again why I need a Welfare Rancher's cow in there??
