The Winners and Losers Thread

No tags for me...of course I didnt put in for any.

With all the medical crap going on right now in this house, I doubt I will get a big hunt this year. Last thing I want to do is take a tag from someone who will have the time to do the hunt.

Maybe next year.

Well its going to be a busy fall. I lucked into a sheep tag, the GF pulled a moose, and lots of frends drew moose, bou and sheep tags.

I actually drew a caribou tag. It is in the area that we sheep hunt so I should be able at least come home with something. My brother says that it is a great tag and should feel lucky. He has a friend and local who has put in for 20+ years and never drawn. I'm now officially one of those buggers who put in and draw on the first chance. I'm still saying that if I get a chance at a legal ram or a nice caribou I'm going with the ram. I've got some sort of sickness or fever for getting one of those white sheep and it won't go away till I get one.

G L thats a great tag. Why settle for either a legal ram or nice bou? GET BOTH ;)

Congrats on the tags!!!

Though one of the tag recipients was a surprise to me...hope everything's going well.

Congrats all the way around to the tag wieners...because I didn't draw, I'm pushing to hunt the Brooks for sheep and bou this year. Other than cutting through Atigun Pass, and a foothills hunt on the Koyukuk for moose, I've never been there.

Large numbers of great pictures will follow, right? Congrats Bambi. That is why you made the move, so I hope you enjoy the hell out of it.

I've begun the negotiations with the wife and it aint looking pretty. Fin you got any extra good paying jobs for me? She's hell bent on me giving her equal time and money. This could be an expensive trip:eek: I hope that I don't draw Utah or something crazy like that. That would be the nail in the coffin for me.

How many times do I have to tell you, "Give her a furniture budget equal to 15% the cost of the new house, and you can hunt the rest of your life with no complaints."

Just get it over with and move on. Happy hunting days ahead.

Plent of pictures with lots of dead animals I hope. The sheep hunt will be a trifecta hunt, with bou and grizz on 'quota' as well. Then a moose hunt a month later for another week or so. I'd call it a good season if I can get 3 out of 4 on the ground. :)

No tags this year in our houehold but that doesn't really matter much, we're still going sheep hunting anways in the Wrangells. Then I've got a 8 day moose hunt down near Delta with a couple of buddies. Should be good times.
