The Devil Came Down to Idaho: Free CDB Concert

FYI...For those of you who live around the Mountain Home, Idaho area, there will be a free concert put on by no other than the Charlie Daniels Band. This is a military appreciation concert, but is open to all.

Where: Holt Park in Mountain Home

When: 27 July at 6pm (I think there will be a cookout around 5pm...will double check on this.)

Mark your calendar if you like good ol southern ho-down's. YEEEHAAAAWWWWW!!!

I saw one of his free outdoor concerts a few years ago. That guy sure can play the fiddle, but I was afraid he was going to have a heart attack! He was bright red and sweatin' like a pig.

Well, if you see my ol' pal and one-time neighbor, Charlie, tell him that "Ol' Bill" aka "That New Mexican Feller" said howdy. Charlie is a great person and not too vain and proud to associate with us common folk. I could tell several stories of his generosity and kindness toward others who were having a bad time...most recently, a lady I know in Kansas who is losing a valiant battle against cancer. She practically worships CDB. When I told Charlie about it, he sent her tickets to one of his shindigs in a town near her. I have a picture of him and her sitting and talking like life long friends at a table in the recreation area of the fairgrounds. I think that says a lot...to become as famous as he has and still have time for others.
