I always love this time of year here in Northern Michigan. The transition has started and the property is starting to see more and more bucks with each day coming and going.
No target bucks yet on camera but future potential is all over the place, but as they keep moving from the AG fields that have now come and gone the long wait is almost over.

I got the opposite here in WI. They vanished on me. I know in a few weeks they will return. Bummed because one was a local boy eating in my apple orchard for a few weeksView attachment 342471
It is always a major bummer watching some of the summer bucks disappear.
I just purchased this 80 Acre property earlier this summer and moved over here full time, so this season is all about learning the new area for me.
We have quite a bit of AG about a mile and a half North West of me, but I worked some of the ground and put in about 4 Acres worth of Food Plots and we also already had an existing 2 acre Apple / Pear Orchard on the eastern section of our property, some rolling hills that are loaded with Red and White Oaks that have been dropping an ungodly amount of acorns and then we have a smaller 6 acre swamp as well.

Hopefully you start seeing some good movement back onto your property. That one in the picture looks like a great potential shooter

I really want my wife to get a chance st him. This will be an incredible antler growth year in my area because last year was our major acorn dump followed by a dream winter. I've seen it in the decades of hunting that this is what makes the best antler grown years. Bucks can get full recovery after the rut. I had so many acorns left in spring the deer were sick if eating them
