Terry, MT area

Looking at doing a November trip for deer near Terry in HD 701/703. I'm partial to WT and considering picking up a surplus WT doe tag, assuming the WT numbers are good in the area. The terrain in parts of these districts looks decent for WT with some brushy drainages, but with going in blind, cant be sure. Anybody done any hunting in this area that can shed some light on the muley/whitetail distribution?

Just got back WT numbers are high a number of block management units. The closer to the river the better.

Yellowstone river had several areas with EHD so I would be interested what you see for deer numbers.

The EHD did not appear to hurt the WT numbers ( I saw at least 150 or so WT and only a dozen mulies ). One of the ranchers I talked found a number mule deer bucks dead and had a mule deer doe die in his yard. The other ranch I hunted didn't have any EHD in the mostly WT herd. Most of the ranchers and farmers would like if shot some doe's.
