Terri Schiavo dies

finally all the fight is over and the torture is finished. i hope the husband was right and she really had no knowledge or emotion. if she felt anything at all that would have been a horrible way to go. her husband who claims to be broke can now legitimise his children and they can live a great life on the money he was given to provide for terri for the rest of her life.

I don't think he wanted her to die to get the money. I heard there was a guy from Cali that offered 5million for custody to keep here alive. If he just wanted the money he'd of jumed on that. Although like the rest of you, I don't know all the specifics.

Its sad to hear that she has died. She is ina better place now with out suffering. I don't think the husband did all this for the money, I think he just didnt' want his wife to live that way any longer. But then again I won't be hearing about the debate to reincert her feeding tube just so she can remain in her brain dead veggistated state any longer. Every time I woudl watch the news I would see that story on there, it gets old after about a week and a half.

I have heard several nurses who work in hospices, as well as a couple of doctors, state that starvation, particularly with painkillers, is about as peaceful a way to go as any. Personally, I think the husband did what he could, tried various treatments and so on until there was nothing left to try, and then decided to follow her wishes when he was sure she could not be brought back to normal. (Many friends and family stated that she had told them that she did not want to be kept alive artificially...not just the husband.)

The parents started all this after he refused to give them half of the money from the malpractice suit, stating that it was all for her medical care. The court award was not that much money - and it is fantastically expensive for full-time, intensive care!
The parents have already started selling their story!

I'm glad its all over no matter what a person believes in... I do know that I would not want that to happen to me and the lesson learned from all of this is that you should have your wishes on paper no matter what.That way your wishes are up held and for every one to see in black and white.

I hear that the fight is not over. Now they are fighting over whose Family plot she is going to be buried in. Thats just what I have heard.

From what i hear, there more to it and husband aint all hat great been out in open i think, but i odnt want anyone pr any big guys come get me, anyway he good most way i hear alot diff stories u know the press and stuff, but glad she in better place

well she was in a vegeative state and now she is in a better place
