Taxidermy/hide ideas for bear

My wife shot a beautiful bear last night that weighe 323 live weight. She doesn't know what to do with the hide. As of now, it is skinned for taxidermy and in the freezer. If you have any neat ideas please post them.

Bearhide chaps for winter riding?

Shoulder or half mount is good for a bear that size. I think its a bit big for a rug unless you want to take up a ton of wall space.

We looked at some pedestal mounts and 1/2 mounts this morning. Kinda leaning that way. Any pictures and names of forms used for the mount?

We had a rug made from my wife's bear. It now takes highest honors in the living room and mine has been reassigned to the basement area.

1/2 mount coming out of the wall and standing on a rock or log is pretty spectacular.

My boy and his wife get bears most years.
They have them tanned and they bleach the skulls.
The skulls go in a display cabinet with the other preditors.
The hide they hang from there nose on a peg wall coat rack.
Very striking to see a half dozen bear and a bunch of coyote and fox hide hanging on a wall.
It is cool.

I’m giving my bear hide from this year to a buddy for this exact purpose. You’ve gotta be the real deal to pull them off, ha.

Still I’ve always been fond of the mounts where the hide is tanned and then mounted on an old pack, like when you’re packing it out.

Bears - Trophy Rooms

Show off those bear rugs, pedestals, shoulder mounts, etc. I've seen lots of pics on here of bear rugs the day they come home from the taxi but I can't find many photos of where they are living; man cave/trophy room/ home office. Let's see 'em!
