Tariffs and Potential Inflation

And if you didn’t vote for Trump, you likely don’t support what he’s doing. Very few surprises, very few minds changing
Like giving Elon Musk and the Department Of Grifting Everyone the keys to the treasury dept and databases with personal data of American citizens? Firing people in the way who are supposed to be “checks and balances”?

The point of discussion and debate isn’t to change minds. It is to encourage critical thought. I do my best to see other sides of every argument, but I have a sensitive bullshit indicator. It’s a flaw I guess.
It's probably out of calibration.

Hah! Your sensitive bull shit indicator fails its "trigger" when you intentionally mis-represent others posts ;)
Please, please, don't quit this thread a third time.

Everybody is still okay here people. /carry on 🤣

The last election was between two administrations the country has already experienced (Kamala clearly said she wouldn’t have done anything differently). The country chose the chaos of this administration rather than the known plan(s) of the last. There is a reason for that. It’s time for some introspection.
The elephant in the room (or Donkey) is the largest tariffs againt China under Biden's administration. The tariffs expanded upon Trump's first Presidential experience for the American voters to switch back to Trump after hosting Biden/Harris for four years.

Giving the keys to the country to an unelected foreign billionaire with known ccp and Russian ties? Someone who wouldn’t be granted security clearance?

I’d think many would say that’s…what’s the word?

Treason? Or is it just okay if it’s your side of the fence?

Oh no!

"Trudeau encouraged Canadians to buy Canadian products and vacation at home rather than in the U.S."
Haha! Canadians flocking to the U.S. are saying, "To winter hell with that crazy Trudeau! Meamie, Flor-I-da is our home!" (Quebecois speak)

You talk about the tearing down of norms within the government, as if that’s not exactly what a significant portion of the country voted for.

Again, very few surprises, very few minds changed.

Trump’s first term - did what he said he was going to do despite all the roadblocks thrown at him. During his campaign over this past year, he laid out his plan for the next 4 years. He swept the country on Election Day. He immediately began implementing the plan that he ran on. Why is anyone surprised with his actions ?!?!?!

People may blame government, immigrants, DEI, or any number of other things, but the majority of people who delivered Trump’s victory ultimately voted for lower prices because their dollars weren’t going as far as they were pre-covid. If Trump cripples the government, gets rid of the immigrants, and undoes 50 years of civil rights gains, but prices don’t go down, he’s going to lose that goodwill pretty quickly.

The evening posts, when you guys get all liquored up and start arguing, are highly entertaining IMO.

I think that was a lot of it, I think even more of it was what did the opponent have to offer? Other than being a female and not Caucasian? Pretty pathetic all the way around.

Edit to add- anything to offer other than what was offered the last 4 years. Which according to approval ratings..people weren't satisfied with.
