Tariffs and Potential Inflation

I agree, but I also feel DEI is one the best tools of division out there. (Just look how much it played into this past election) The idea in theory sounds great but it hurts everyone including the ones it's supposed to "help". You can't force racist people to stop being racist. DEI has not got rid of one racist in the USA, but i guarantee it's created some.
Interesting theory. Do you think if Harris was elected and sent out a memo that said the military wasn’t going to use man-hours to set up Super Bowl viewing for military it would have been taken the same, or created football fans out of non-football fans?

Here is a thought. Instead having every other post crap on the president's plan, please post your solutions.

What would you do to bring back critical manufacturing, resources, and American prosperity and greatness? Or do you think that is just not important? As long as you can buy a new gun every year and a nice truck every five, who cares right? It's all good.

Because what he have done for the past 25 years or so ain't working. And the last four years have been downright scary. My grandchildren are f'd if we keep up what we have been doing.

I would sacrifice everything I have to bring this country back to excellence and non dependency from the likes of China. Not sure too many realize it, but we have been at war with China for the past forty years. And being closely tied to the EU, WEF, WHO and God knows what else will destroy us that much quicker. Just watch them all fall apart when the US spigot gets turned off. They are leeches sucking the life of of this country.

As for tariffs. I have no problem paying more for stuff if it is from the US. It may hurt at first, but in the long term the benefits are massive. Look past the here and the now. Think about the future for your children and grandchildren.

Unfortunately, we now live in a country that swings from one extreme to the next every four years. And at some point the pendulum will get stuck on the socialist side of things. See, that's the problem with population growth. It's just a matter of time. Why do you think the last administration opened the floodgates, letting anything on two legs into our country. But hey, it sounds to me like some folks here just may like the idea of socialism. Why not? More time to hunt. Unfortunately you will have fling rocks instead of bullets and arrows.

We'd be better off, thus sayeth the 48% that lost to a President the American people have already experienced.

The last election was between two administrations the country has already experienced (Kamala clearly said she wouldn’t have done anything differently). The country chose the chaos of this administration rather than the known plan(s) of the last. There is a reason for that. It’s time for some introspection.

Thats Taylor swifts job
Good avoidance of the question.

Check back in 90 days on those tariffs.
You see everything as linear. Where America can exist on its own and not have to rely on or work with other countries. I get it. It's not true, but I get the attractiveness of the argument. We are in for a very interesting experiment.
BTW, the CHIPS act was the first US-manufacturing focused piece of legislation in the 40yrs you mentioned. And how did that work out for the incumbent? I feel like you want to claim victory today and have little patience to wait for the world's largest economy to meet your demands.

America is still the most prosperous country in the world with more opportunity for the individual than can be imagined. We obviously take that for granted now. The Grievance Presidency has a lot of supporters. But the number of individuals that don't prosper is growing and they feel the need to blame someone other than themselves. Both good and bad come out of chaos, so I remain optimistic.

Apple to oranges i think. There is no political gain for either side just loss in your circumstance. The left created DEI for gain, the right is dismantling it for gain. I agree with the right on this as I think the policy creates division and sets a bad precedent because of the division it causes and hiring based on race is good for nobody not customers or the employer.

Good avoidance of the question.

This is not a 90 day solution. It could take generations. And ya, I understand the problem with what I just wrote.

I never stated that the US can stand in it's own. I stated that we need to bring back critical manufacturing.

Nationalism is not a dirty word.

Cmon man :

A number of federal agencies have banned celebrations related to MLK Jr. Day, Women's History Month and other such observances to comply with Trump's executive orders

Has he not always said one thing and meant another? I know you’re smarter than Faux news talking points.
I’d argue that he’s one of the first ones to do exactly what he ran on.

My kids school was in service for MLK day. The only school on our district. I have no point to make, I just thought it was very strange and Wanted to share.
