Tariffs and Potential Inflation

No doubt shooter had training (see him calmly clear a jam), but our security guys say unlikely a true pro hit as a pro would not have done it in such a public place - a pro hit would have got him walking his dog or something.

Would be shocked if related to a trading window mess - those happen all the time.
Idiot used 3D printed gun - that explains 2 jams in 3/4 shots. Turns out a fan of the unabomber as a fellow revolutionary. A moron in my book.

Janet is finally concerned about the national debt.

"Yellen pointed to the interest cost of the nation’s debt, which she described as “one of the largest items responsible for the increase in the budget deficit.”

The federal budget deficit reached $622 billion over the past two months, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated in its recent monthly budget review. The figure marks a $242 billion increase from the deficit recorded during the same period in the previous fiscal year, as outlays saw an 18 percent jump, while revenues dipped 7 percent."

This can be confirmed by all KY kids sweat shop junk we got them for Christmas. What happened to getting one big gift for Christmas. I swear now it's a competition to see who can buy the most amount of cheap gifts.
The most epic single X-Mas gift EVER! Steep hill street along my friend's house where I lived @ 15.

We sat in them, turned the handle inward and rolled to a race, to an all out hyperspeed, HOLY FK!!! Pray to the almighty potential to reach the uphill side only to flip at some point and road rash the heck outta ourselves! Brag about the rashes and drag them back up the hill for round two... both hoping the other chickens out, yet neither of us do.
How we lived and the GREAT value of American made radio flyers that tolerated the abuse for multi rounds.
Haha!
**Foreign made might have saved us... maybe there is good to garbage vs American quality products.

My kids still play with my old toys. There's don't even make a year let alone a generation. Sad.

Funny, but not funny. Sign of the times, I guess. But until we start to realize we are part of the problem, it can not be fixed.

I am at least in the Independent camp, the Democrat position wouldn't surprise me.

No way in hell interest rates are going to go high enough for inflation to drop to near 0.

My parents think prices will get better for things though.

I expect at least the inflation to stay in the 3 to 4 percent range, especially if the Trump administration keeps pushing for tariffs. No way companies are going to make stuff cheaper in expectation of having to pay more to import the same product later.

Strikes, and people wanting higher wages is going to continue to make the problem worse.

The chart is expectations, which does feed back into real inflation, but honestly, zero is like landing an airplane in the head of a pin. The point was your political beliefs influence your economic viewpoint. To a point that’s probably unhealthy. All I would add is reality has a say eventually. In this case, like Tuesday.

There is no question about that, and not just economic viewpoints.

It should hurt, a lot, to be stupid about fiscal policy. Sadly, the half of us who understood this in the election will now get the same hard lessons as the "winners." Along the way we'll have similar discussions about public lands, national security and hopefully the Constitution.

External Revenu Service. Interesting.

Reciprocal trade agreements. % Match import what others demand from our export.
