He's going to Taos, not Santa Fe. And the best breakfast in Santa Fe is Cafe Pasquale's. And, indeed the Loretto Staircase is something to see; no nails. Carpenter disappeared before being paid. Local legend is St. Joseph. And, normally, I'm pretty rational, but New Mexico is different. Cosmic nexus, who knows?

Extraordinary number of folks have been drawn there; Willa Cather, John Nichols (OK, Alb), Edward Abbey, and painters galore.

And my wife and I exchanged our first vows at Loretto.
