So who in South Dakota is going to put a Thanksgiving plate together for me and meet me on a I90 offramp?:p even McDonald's are closed today

I did a couple days but hit the realistic time limit of solo hunting pack out and be to work on Monday limit. Besides I may even buy a Wisconsin gun tag!

Could of set you up if it would be worth about a 36 mile one way detour(from Worthington Mn.). Plenty of food and maybe something to drink and you could of saved me from the relatives. You might of been able to write it off with all the fine products I seem to buy from you.

Pat, did you ship the skull and cape? I'd still be running on the adrenalin of your muley.

Pat, your welcome anytime your coming thru the area. Did I miss something about a big mule deer?

I actually drove out this year so bringing stuff home not a problem. Between the tag prices and the recent hike in airline and rental car fees I just decided to drive.
Although Kurt blew a gasket when I told him I left the cape on the hillside. I am just going to Euro mount him. He is a great buck but I have no more room for new heads. I would like to replace some of the smaller heads but the reality is that shooting the deer and getting to eat the meat and take home a memory is the most important thing. I know I got some flack about selling some of my mounts that I had no room for in the past but It is just not that important anymore. I still have 2 lope capes that have been wet tanned and been sitting in the freezer for going on 3 years now. I have no room and no time to make it a priority although one of them is the kids lope so I want to get that done this winter.

I have ate rutting mule deer, my guess is you will be wishing you kept the cape.

They have been hit and miss that is for sure. I had one that I couldn't wait to unload the meat to someone. The game bags stunk like tarsal glands even though the meat was skin off and boned out. Then I had a couple that were pretty good. Par for the course during the rut, it is like betting on red or black
