This year will be the first that I go all in on hunting elk.
I'll be doing modern firearm in the Coweeman and/or Lewis River units.
Looking forward to getting the "itch" for hunting elk. It's certainly there for waterfowl.

Welcome! Big waterfowler here. Originally from Mount Vernon, WA but now reside in ID. Good luck on your Elk hunt!

Good luck. Hoof rot has really put a hurtin' on them. Hunted the coweeman growing up. Numbers are way down from what they used to be

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Rob- chantrelles are delicious, but will they still be edible in November?

Fire_9 - Weyerhaeuser shutting down their land to permit only doesn't help with access. I suppose it might cut down competition If you can afford the fee. Though $50 for a walk-in is doable (Which I reluctantly purchased)

Young buck - I heard the waterfowl hunting was good in that part of the state. Can't wait to explore when my sons get older.
