Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

So what happens when State law has to be as strict or stricter then Federal law.

State law then supercedes in most cases, at least in a regulatory environment. It's how the Fed has used the rule of law to ensure states comply or exceed requirements under such laws as the Clean Water Act & Clean Air Act.

So while YOU might hate Obama because he's a Democrat but most likely just because he is black, Apparently more voters than you think he is worthy of two terms.

Are you serious???? This is just as ignorant as saying that all black people that voted for Obama did so because of the color of his skin and all white people voted for him because of "white guilt"

What ever happened to the freedom to say you disagree with a President's policy without being called a racist?

Consider what would happen if after the 2nd Tues in Nov. and the Florida vote counters are still trying to figure out if hanging chads or pregnant chads count as votes and we have Bush V. Gore redux as Trump V. Clinton and an evenly divided court can get a majority? Then what?

Imagine if Sanders pulls of the upset for the ages and gets to make the nomination and the Republicans lose the Senate. Then how much whining do we get to do because we could have gotten a nominee that is acceptable and a moderate, waiting makes us no safer IMO

Nemont it's still a hypocrisy flavored shit sandwich, point taken that it could be a double meat version if the electorate completely lose their frickin minds.

NHY,

I get that it is hypocrisy but just because Ole Joe had an opinion doesn't mean we need to hold the same one.

The inevitable race to the bottom of digging up the hypocrisy of the other side doesn't do diddly squat for the American people who deserve better than guys like McConnell or Biden et al. who never miss a chance to be politicians rather than the leaders they were elected to be.

I don't even care if the Senate doesn't confirm a nominee, the process should be allowed to go forward instead of being held hostage by it being an election year.

I expect McConnell to bluster and capitulate.

Then the Republicans in the Senate should have voter differently when the selected a Majority leader.

Who is to say things will be better for the right side of the Aisle after this falls election?

I agree.

It was stupid of them to say right away they were going to block it. Seems like there's a Pavlovian reaction among Republicans whenever Obama proposes anything.

Pres. Obama- " I plan to do thus and so..."
Republicans- "Oh no you won't! We're not going to let you!"
Republicans- " On second thought, I guess you can..."

Pesident Obama has gotten more death threats than any other President in history. The level of disrespect towards Obama is rediculous. It started as soon as he was elected when the republicans said their mission was to make sure the Obama administration failed.
One example is the republicans say Christie is unelectable because he was photographed embracing Obama after hurrican Sandy. That is so rediculous.
The Cruz ad showing Rubio shaking hands with Obama like it's a bad thing.
Say what you want but there has never been this much hate shown towards any other President regardless of party.
