Sunset pic of old grain drill

Tonight when I was finishing up my irrigating I saw a muley doe with twins, so I went back out with the camera hoping to find them and the sunset looked like it was going to be a good one with the passing thunderstorm we had this evening. Well, the critters all disappeared and the sunset kinda fizzled out. I got a couple pics of an old grain drill looking away from the sunset that I was happy with - still a nice end to a long day.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough resident deer to speak from a lot of experience, but I do see them in the peas and beans at times eating away .......... I wish we had enough deer in the area for that to be a problem, that's the kind of problem I'd like to sink my teeth into.

I drove up Rt. 95 thru Idaho yesterday. All the ag fields from Grangeville thru Moscow were gorgeous. Different beauty from my area but beautiful none the less.

Reportedly, in this part of the country they love them. I planted some soybeans a few years back and they never got above a few inches tall as the deer kept them mowed down. Granted it was only a couple of acres spread over 4 plots. If I can find some 4010 field peas cheap enough I'll add them to the mix for this fall. I won't be doing any tillage, so I'm not sure how that large of a seed will do broadcast with rye/clover mulched/rolled over it.
