Some pics from this spring and summer. My boys love to get out and so we go as much as we can. Spring sports and then 4 weeks of summer school kind of slowed us down but we still got out quite a bit.

Overall, fishing was a bit slower for us for walleyes for the summer. The weather just wouldn't straighten out in May June with nonstop wind and cold fronts. Had a few good days in July but not as many as normal. Also fished Lake Michigan for salmon twice and so that took up quite a bit of time.

Starting out with some shorefishing for northerns this spring. Normally we get out at least 4 or 5 times but I think we only got out twice this spring and didn't catch a whole lot but got a few.

Scratched out a few decent days for walleyes in June and then at the end of June, we went to Lake Michigan for salmon. A friend of mine there fishes for them a ton and also runs charters and so we fished with him. Had one of his best days of the summer our first evening. Was nonstop action for a good 2 hours at sunset. Boys had a blast.

Ended the night with 23 salmon/steelhead and 1 big laker. Think we had 2 kings over 20 pounds and a handful from 12-18 pounds or so. Will never forgot that day!

The weather was a pain for us after that and we did make it out one more evening but had to dodge storms. Had a decent night but nothing like the first.
