In Minnesota last week. Got to go fishing with my three nieces. Here, Sidney, the 14 year-old is guiding us on Upper Red Lake. One of the more enjoyable fishing days I've had in MN, with few fish to disturb the peace of our outing.

The first is the North Fork of Deep Creek. The second is a mountain I call "NOPE" as in nope not gonna get me up there. A guy from our crew did eventually climb "NOPE" in an attempt to document the soil and vegetation.

My son discovered a "bee's nest" yesterday in our backyard pear tree. Just a small hornets' nest, we'll see how big it gets by fall.
