Summer Heat

First summer heat wave here in western Montana.
Coming from Alaska, the first time I'm experiencing the 90s in 24 years.
This elk had a nice cool spot.

Beautiful pictures! We're getting a bit of a warm front moving in latter half of this week. I was enjoying the highs being mid to low 70s so far this summer.

Been sitting around 100 for a few days here. Saw a hen turkey with 2 poults hanging out in the shade yesterday. It does worry me that they won’t survive the heat, especially because people kept trying to get close to them this making them move more than they wanted to.

I’m guessing everyone around here is a big believer in climate change being the culprit for all of this right?

This whitetail fawn was panting pretty heavy in the afternoon a few days ago in our pasture.
