I lost my camera for now, but hopefully I'll get it found and be able to post some more pictures and update some more information.

Went solo this time and ended up tagging out on opening day.

Not the biggest buck I've ever shot but pretty respectable. One of the first sheds I've ever found out there in the Sandhills and crazy that it sure looks like a match for the buck I ended up shooting.

Here's some pictures from my phone.

Only 13 miles on the boots yesterday when it was all said and done.

Congratulations, but that deer is more than "pretty respectable" if you ask me. Great pics for a phone, I hope you can get some others posted as well.

Your having a very good year. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

I was thinking he was going to look a lot better than he scored. Didn't even gross 150".

Lost a couple inches because his inside spread was more than his main beam and loses 6 or 7 inches because he is missing his G3. Oh well, he looked good so I shot him. He was running with a buck that was shorter and narrower, but he had all his tines and would have probably scored better but I'm a sucker for the big tall frames. His G2's were both over 15".

My friend found my camera and sent a couple of the best pictures to me.

I should have moved him around and been facing directly into the camera so my face wasn't shadowed. The wind was blowing 30+ mph and blew the camera off my backpack a couple times and I was just ready to get him cut up and packed out.

I told myself I was going to hunt hard this week and hold out for a monster, but he looked pretty good and after hunting all last week both the family and I were ready for a shorter hunt this time.

Still very happy with him.

I shot a narrower version of the same buck last year, was also surprised by the score. They really need all four forks to be worth scoring.

Great looking buck though. Looks like a big mature deer, which is always a trophy in my mind.

Great deer...and I agree....that shed does look awfully close to the deer you shot, hard to tell how many other 3 points are running around with the same genetics though.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I got my camera back and pulled up a few more pictures that I thought turned out pretty well.

He'll look good on the wall as a european mount. He doesn't have any other scoreable points but does have a couple little trashy 3/4" points down on his burrs.
