Successful Montana Mule Deer

My Dad had a rack from a big muley he got in the late 60's in northern NM (No WT anywhere around there). 4x4 with eye guards but looked like a whitetail rack. G2 was not forked. IIRC, it had a 28 or 29" spread and was very heavy.

Great buck, nice job!

Quick question..... how do you like that B&C stock on your Tikka (i assume its B&C?) and whats it chambered in?

Very nice buck!

Anyone who hunts Montana: is that a normal rack for a mule deer around there? To me it looks more like a whitetail rack than a mule deer. Here in SD they just split different from what I've seen.

Maybe a hybrid mule/whitetail?

Still very nice buck, I'm sure the pack out was awesome... haha!
I don't know much about hybrid/crosses between Mule deer and Whitetails but in my small mind I see this as simply a Mule deer that didn't grow his G-3's this year. Nice Buck! Love the color!

Definitely not a hybrid or an uncommon rack for eastern MT, there’s tons of 3pts & 4x3 running around there that look identical to this
