Just a reminder for you all traveling to Sturgis, ride smart and ride safe.

Saw our first motorcycle accident today on the way to plant some oats and winter peas.
The guy didn't make a curve on Highway 34 in Sybille Canyon. We got a call in for help at G&F Research Center and life flight showed up about an hour later.
There was no cell service in the area so we had to find a land line down the road at the G&F Center. Nearest ambulance was at least 30-45 minutes away.

Better to slow down and get there than not make it at all.
Prayers for him and his family.

We'll be seeing a lot more of that I'm afraid. I saw some yahoos passing me on the Interstate...I was doing 85, they passed me like I was standing still. 4 of them...not a brain between them.

Everyone have a safe trip to Sturgis! Come visit all of us at Indian Motorcycles if you have a chance. If I can help talk you out of a HD and into a Indian Motorcycle, pm me. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. I work for the home office in Medina, Minnesota.

Make sure to grab a burger and a cheap for Sturgis beer at the Sugar Shack in Nemo, sample some of the great wines made around Hill City, and the beer at Crow Peak Brewery in Spearfish.

The stories my dad tells of his biker gang visits to Sturgis in the 70's are something else... Be safe out there.

My grandpa used to ride Sturgis until the they went a huge group ride and 8 of them were killed on one ride. Too much boozin', cruzin', and not enough turnin'.
