Stuff you don't like for no good reason

Since this thread has just turned into the airing of grievances...

Got a text from my BiL this morning asking if I could help him get a deer cut up for the processor. I'm like 1) what's the point of a processor if you have to quarter the animal yourself and 2) how do you not know how to quarter an animal? So I tell him to come on over and I hoisted the deer up on the oak tree in the back yard. Showed him how to quarter one up. He's been hunting longer than me, just comes from that very strange (to me) hunting culture. I'm glad for him to have a little success and hopefully every little bit will help him take more responsibility for what he's doing.

My FIL hunted for well over 50 years and has killed hundreds of deer. I still had to show him how to breakdown and butcher a deer a few years ago. He's yet to breakdown another deer since.

I’m in the same camp as you. I can’t stand to watch him gut a deer even, so I usually do that for him. If he does it, he is covered head to toe in blood.
