My handle comes from Schrodinger's equation. The username interface didn't handle greek letters, so Si had to suffice.

HΨ = EΨ

It actually has sentimental reasons. I moved through different Math courses in college in an easy linear fashion - but didn't really find an application of the education that hit home until this equation. Differential equations (and earlier courses) were a fun puzzle, but the context Schrodinger's equation exposed was a grounding moment for me - much like hunting is a continual grounding moment. It's a reminder for me that the complex matrix throughout our lives can be reduced to a simple premise.

I'm really not as nerdy as that came out - but it's the reason for the handle.

I lived in New Orleans for a year or so after college doing millwork and cabinetry for rebuilding projects after Katrina. They have beignets there and my name is Ben. The nickname never really extended outside the realm of a few folks in New Orleans, but lives on in the two or so forums I use.
