There was a meeting last night on this organization starting here in AZ. I'm not so sure I like it. What can you UT boys tell us about this SFW??????

There are some pretty good posts on monster muleys about SWF... I don't know anything more about them than what I've read over there, but the consensus seems to be that their intentions are good for animals and habitat, but their means of obtaining money is a little sketchy... i.e. selling off LE permitts to the highest bidder.

Stan, My biggest concern right now is that this is a "FOR PROFIT" organization. That means that they are out to make money. That in itself should tell you something.

Sounds like they will skim a lot of top quality tags from the draw pool for fundraising then will not open the books to see where the millions have been spent. I am contacting G&F for their read on this one. Lot of negatives from hunters in states that they are in.

Yeah, I agree Danr, like I said, it doesn't sound good to me.

Dan I wasn't able to attend, I only found out about the meeting the day before it took place.

I can tell you that quite a few people in Idaho (Bow Hunters) are concerned enough about them to be talking .
So far it hasnt been good.

Non-profit groups are limited in the amount that they can spend on campaigning for legislation. They could just be profit because they don't want that limitation imposed on them. I think it means they have an agenda, like their name, Sportsman for Wildlife. I'm just guessing, I guess I could do a search and try to learn something.
