Maybe ten years ago I was sitting at Malfunction Junction in Missoula. 5 o'clock traffic, probably 100°, and I was exhausted from pounding hubs all day on a dusty construction site.

An older biker pulled up next to me on a Superglide. This dude was the King of Sturgis. Hell's Angels vest, sleeve tattoos, etc. He could have passed for the biker from Raising Arizona.

He had his radio playing just low enough that you could tell it was on. Alanis' "You Oughta Know" came on, and that dude cranked that song as loud as he possibly could. There's probably 100 rigs at the intersection, and not a single one of them didn't sit there for the next three minutes staring in disbelief as this guy belted out every word as if his life depended on it.

Song ends, he turns his radio back down, and rides off into the horizon. I will never forget that man.
