Speeding In Montana

This is my first winter back in Montana after leaving for 5 years.

I’ve seen more dipsh*ts with their flashers on, driving half the speed limit or less in the last month than I’ve ever seen.
I always thought flashers were for an emergency, vehicle in limpmode, driving on a donut etc, not just because you’re too much of a dinkus to drive in a snow flurry.

Oh yeah, those are the new “Montanans”. Welcome back.
We have a bunch of those types here too.

Welcome to Chicago, where doing 80 lets you see a squad car roll on past you without giving you a glance.
True, I've driven through plenty of times after midnight too and everyone at that hour is going 90-100 in a 55. Not exaggerating. I have lived all over and road tripped nearly every where and can confidently say everywhere has drivers that drive like psychos nowadays. Also I have a theory that drivers are getting worse for a few reasons...

1. Distractions, obviously
2. Vehicles are better and faster with drivers not getting any better
3. Some people don't do their own maintenance so they dont care if they speed up to a red light and jam their brakes

Only in Montana can you drive 10 mph over the speed limit and still get passed…
I am back in New England for Christmas. Cruise control set on 70 moh and limit is either 55 or 65 depending on the highway. Usually I feel like I'm holding up traffic

I drive the Great River Road daily. People with muscle cars and sports cars are the slowest drivers. Usually under the speed limit and traveling in groups of 3 or more to make it impossible to pass the whole group at once. I did come up on an accident where a corvette literally flew off a corner and wrapped itself around a tree. I’m not sure how the driver walked away from that. The driver told the cop he was doing over 100.
